Reflections on Rosh Hashanah and Labor Day
Rest and reflection for all we have
Friends,
When was the last time you sat outside and enjoyed the stars? How often do you do something with the intention of rest? How often do you look at your cell phone at the dinner table when others are around you?
Only a few times out of the year can we celebrate a day without the obligation of gifts and parties. Sometimes the biggest gifts are the ones without a price tag- time spent being thankful, whether we reflect on that alone or with each other.
Labor Day and Rosh Hashanah fall on the same time, so let us reflect on what we have, rest with the time we have been given, and go into the week with the mindset we carry into every new year.
Whether with friends, family, or alone with a good book, let us all take a minute to be in this good moment together, and thank our Creator for the gifts of rest and reflection.
