Ben,

I want to thank you. Thank you for your kind words (I know they're heartfelt) about Rush. Thank you for the opportunity to publicly memorialize and eulogize one of the standard bearers of our time. Thank you for your encouragement. Thank you for being the kind of man that you are. I'm grateful for Rush, and share your sorrow at his loss.

It's hard to express the feeling one gets when a hero goes on to their reward. Knowing only partially, just how greatly they suffered (nobly) to provide everyday men and women encouragement. To be their voice, share their reason, and take on the incoming fire bravely... leading from the front. It's tough work, and I'm grateful for men like Rush... and men like you.

Ben, while I have the opportunity to say this to you, I feel that I must. You're a hero to me. I thank you for being a humble, trustworthy, caring, a genuine voice of reason and sanity. I thank you for being an encouragement. I thank you for being approachable, generous, and sharing your life, and time with us. I thank you for standing tall, swimming against the downstream flow, and investing your life in ways that benefit and encourage others.

It's difficult to articulate sufficiently to someone I've never met, just what their life and influence have meant to me. But I think it high time to try. You've encouraged me sincerely dear friend. Been a companion when I was alone. Shared in my sorrows and joy. Provided hope to the hurting. You've been an valued encouragement.

As Rush was, so are you. A great man, who makes great contributions to the life of another. Seldom to receive praise remotely equivalent to his benefaction. For you, I am grateful.

Very Sincerely,

- Kevin F.
