“I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is of immense value, strength, confidence and that’s why I’m able to remain fully committed to the idea that what is supposed to happen will happen when it’s meant to.” ~Rush Limbaugh
Friends,
Do not shed a tear for those we lose because they are gone, but smile and give thanks that we had them in our lives in the first place. As we all remember Rush Limbaugh, a true American patriot who was fearless against every kind of enemy, and friend to all those who love freedom, let us rest assured that this mortal world’s loss is God’s gain.
I was blessed to have been able to appear on The Rush Limbaugh Show twice over the years, and Rush couldn’t have been more gracious or self-effacing. I will cherish those conversations for the rest of my life.
Some used to call Rush the “rich man’s radio host” sarcastically. While he did live in a mansion fit for a king, in daily life he had the humility of a regular working stiff.
Rush Limbaugh lived a truly remarkable life and will live on eternally with his savior and in the hearts of those who were impacted by his words of wisdom.
Rush loved his friends, his family, his listeners, and this country. There is nothing more you can ask of a good man. To live life with love in one’s heart is to ultimately live a life fulfilled.
God bless you Rush. God bless you all.
Your humble servant,
Ben Stein

Ben,
I want to thank you. Thank you for your kind words (I know they're heartfelt) about Rush. Thank you for the opportunity to publicly memorialize and eulogize one of the standard bearers of our time. Thank you for your encouragement. Thank you for being the kind of man that you are. I'm grateful for Rush, and share your sorrow at his loss.
It's hard to express the feeling one gets when a hero goes on to their reward. Knowing only partially, just how greatly they suffered (nobly) to provide everyday men and women encouragement. To be their voice, share their reason, and take on the incoming fire bravely... leading from the front. It's tough work, and I'm grateful for men like Rush... and men like you.
Ben, while I have the opportunity to say this to you, I feel that I must. You're a hero to me. I thank you for being a humble, trustworthy, caring, a genuine voice of reason and sanity. I thank you for being an encouragement. I thank you for being approachable, generous, and sharing your life, and time with us. I thank you for standing tall, swimming against the downstream flow, and investing your life in ways that benefit and encourage others.
It's difficult to articulate sufficiently to someone I've never met, just what their life and influence have meant to me. But I think it high time to try. You've encouraged me sincerely dear friend. Been a companion when I was alone. Shared in my sorrows and joy. Provided hope to the hurting. You've been an valued encouragement.
As Rush was, so are you. A great man, who makes great contributions to the life of another. Seldom to receive praise remotely equivalent to his benefaction. For you, I am grateful.
Very Sincerely,
- Kevin F.
Proverbs 27:2 (KJV)
“Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.”
RIP Rush. Talent now returned to God.
