Ben,

I want to thank you. Thank you for your kind words (I know they're heartfelt) about Rush. Thank you for the opportunity to publicly memorialize and eulogize one of the standard bearers of our time. Thank you for your encouragement. Thank you for being the kind of man that you are. I'm grateful for Rush, and share your sorrow at his loss.

It's hard to express the feeling one gets when a hero goes on to their reward. Knowing only partially, just how greatly they suffered (nobly) to provide everyday men and women encouragement. To be their voice, share their reason, and take on the incoming fire bravely... leading from the front. It's tough work, and I'm grateful for men like Rush... and men like you.

Ben, while I have the opportunity to say this to you, I feel that I must. You're a hero to me. I thank you for being a humble, trustworthy, caring, a genuine voice of reason and sanity. I thank you for being an encouragement. I thank you for being approachable, generous, and sharing your life, and time with us. I thank you for standing tall, swimming against the downstream flow, and investing your life in ways that benefit and encourage others.

It's difficult to articulate sufficiently to someone I've never met, just what their life and influence have meant to me. But I think it high time to try. You've encouraged me sincerely dear friend. Been a companion when I was alone. Shared in my sorrows and joy. Provided hope to the hurting. You've been an valued encouragement.

As Rush was, so are you. A great man, who makes great contributions to the life of another. Seldom to receive praise remotely equivalent to his benefaction. For you, I am grateful.

Very Sincerely,

- Kevin F.

Thank you for using this particular quote, Ben. I remember hearing him say that on the radio, and it warmed my heart. He said so many important things during his life, but nothing more important than this.

What a heartfelt send off for a world class patriot. I remember as a kid in the early 90's... I'd watch his TV show while I got ready for school. It helped me to shape serious thoughts and feelings about what it means to be a GREAT American; I was too young to understand the bs that goes with the political world but, at the tender age of 12 or 13... I was ahead of so many kids my own age because he made sense and it was comforting in a world that was so complicated. I continued to listen to him on that golden mic of his as an adult; He will be missed.

Thank you, Ben, for a wonderful tribute to Rush Limbaugh. I think most of us who were faithful listeners to Rush’s daily broadcast feel as though we’ve lost a family member, I know I do. Rest In Peace, Rush, and know that you contributed so much to our daily lives. Always looked forward to your perspective on current events.

Beautifully written. He will be missed by all. Brilliant minds don’t come by too often. I got introduced to Rush while still being a democrat in NYC in the early 90’s when I had to take cabs and the cab drivers had Rush on. I had no choice but to listen. I would crack up. He was so funny and smart. And on top of it, he was making sense. I thought to myself, how can that be, I have been a democrat my whole life. My parents were democrats. Well, by 2004, I finally switched parties. But I already had my mind changed by 2000. He really was the best.
