This came to me from a Lesson about the meaning of INTERCESSION. You may like it
INTERCESSION:
The Hebrew word for “intercession,” means “to meet.” Intercession creates a meeting. Intercessors meet with God; they also meet the powers of darkness.
Our meeting with God (as we pray) is to affect another meeting. We meet with Him asking Him to meet with someone else. We become the go-between: “Heavenly Father, I come to you today (a meeting) asking You to touch XXX (name) (another meeting). Through our intercession, we bring individuals to God. Whether for a person or a nation, regardless of the reason, when we’re used to create a meeting between God and humans, releasing the fruit of Christ’s work, (intercession) has happened.
God we also meet with You on behalf of our nation. We have wandered far, but we believe You are going to draw this nation back to You. So we ask for millions of meetings to take place between Holy Spirit and individuals in this nation. We ask You to meet with the rich, poor, young, old, Black, Asian, Latino, Native American, and every other ethnic group represented in this nation. We ask that every one of them experience powerful outpourings of Holy Spirit in their communities. We ask You to break down every wall of division between the races and bring the greatest season of racial healing America has ever experienced. We bind the powers of darkness trying to divide us further, and ask You to remove those in government and other positions of influence that are being used to bring further division.
And in this meeting with You now, Father, we ask again for the greatest revival earth has ever seen or experienced. Pour out Your Spirit upon millions and millions of people around the world. Transform entire nations. May powerful signs and wonders be released to awaken people to the reality of who You are. We thank You for these things, which we ask for in faith, and in the all-powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
